Machine Gun Kelly recently opened up about the death of his close friend, Australian snowboarder Luke “The Dingo” Trembath. The 34-year-old rapper shared that the passing of Trembath, who died at the age of 38 on February 28, has deeply affected him. Kelly described the loss as “bittersweet” as he awaits the birth of his child with former fiancée Megan Fox.
Heartfelt Tribute to a Best Friend
Kelly took to Instagram to pay tribute to Trembath. He expressed his grief, saying, “I didn’t even cry this hard when my dad died. I’ve lost a lot of friends, but I’ve never lost a brother.” He spoke of Trembath’s unique personality, calling him “a true rockstar without ever needing to make a song.” Kelly also reminisced about their time together, highlighting Trembath’s humor and strength.
“I’ll miss your epic toasts, your bellyflops, and your laugh. You were the glue between all of us,” Kelly wrote.
A Difficult Conversation with His Daughter
One of the hardest moments for Kelly was telling his daughter, 15-year-old Casie, about Trembath’s passing. He shared that Casie loved Trembath deeply, making it an especially tough phone call. Kelly fondly remembered how Casie once called him “Ping Pong” when she was too young to understand his nickname.
Bittersweet Thoughts on His Child’s Birth
Despite the pain, Kelly reflected on the upcoming birth of his child, saying, “I feel like you’re up there with my new child, dressed up in a hilarious costume making them laugh.” He described the upcoming birth as a bittersweet blessing.
Megan Fox Leans on Her Sister Amid Split
Meanwhile, Megan Fox is leaning on her sister Kristi Fox as she awaits the birth of her fourth child. Megan, 38, is reportedly navigating the pregnancy following her split from MGK in November 2024.
Despite the breakup, a source revealed that Kelly remains committed to being present in his child’s life. “He loves Megan and wants nothing more than to be a family unit,” the source said.
